How to Fix a Corrupted Windows User Profile
A corrupted user profile may cause:
Temporary profile warnings
Missing settings
Applications failing to launch
Desktop changes
Sign-in problems
Restart Windows
Restart first to make sure Windows has not simply loaded a temporary profile.
Create another Windows account
Navigate to:
Settings > Accounts > Other users
Create a new local or Microsoft account.
Sign into the new account and verify that Windows works normally.
Transfer personal files
If the new account works properly, transfer personal files from the previous profile.
Common folders include:
Desktop
Documents
Downloads
Pictures
Videos
Avoid blindly copying the entire old profile because damaged configuration files could also be transferred.
