Bluetooth Is Missing or Not Working in Windows
If Bluetooth has disappeared from Windows or suddenly stopped working, the issue is usually related to the Bluetooth adapter, driver, Windows services, or hardware.
1. Restart your PC
Restart Windows before making additional changes. A restart can reload Bluetooth services and drivers.
2. Check Bluetooth settings
Open:
Settings > Bluetooth & devices
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
If the Bluetooth toggle is completely missing, continue below.
3. Check Device Manager
Right-click the Start button.
Select Device Manager.
Expand Bluetooth.
Look for your Bluetooth adapter.
If you see a warning icon, right-click the adapter and select Update driver.
You can also uninstall the adapter and restart Windows to allow the driver to reinstall automatically.
4. Check Windows services
Press Windows + R, enter:
services.msc
Make sure Bluetooth Support Service is running.
5. Install your manufacturer's Bluetooth driver
Download the latest Bluetooth or wireless driver directly from your motherboard, laptop, or wireless adapter manufacturer.
Avoid third-party driver download websites.
