Device Limit Reached

If you're seeing a Hardware ID (HWID) mismatch error when trying to use EXM, it means the device you're currently on doesn't match the one originally linked to your account.

Why Does This Happen?

Your EXM license is tied to a unique hardware identifier on your device. This error typically occurs if you've reinstalled or reset Windows, which can generate a new hardware ID, or if you're attempting to use EXM on a different device than the one you originally registered with.

Each license is valid for one device at a time, so switching machines or resetting your operating system will require a hardware ID reset on your account.

How to Fix It

To get your HWID reset, you'll need to contact our team directly. You can either submit a support ticket through our help center or chat with a live agent using the widget on this page. Let us know that you need a hardware ID reset and we'll get it taken care of for you.

Avoiding Future Mismatches

Keep in mind that if you plan to reset Windows or move to a new PC, you'll need to request a new HWID reset each time. If you're frequently switching devices, reach out to our team and we can help you find the best solution for your setup.
